Betty Jo Vaughan Kidwell
REPRESENTING THE 50 YEAR CLUB
Escorted by her son, Richard Kidwell

At the June meeting of the Executive Board of the MWHS 50 Year Club and during the 36th annual Reunion festivities,  Mrs. Kidwell was presented as our representative to serve as the 2012-2013 MWHS Coming Home Queen.

In a halftime ceremony at the Mineral Wells High School home coming game played on Friday night, September 28, Mrs. Kidwell was escorted to the MWHS football field at RAM Stadium by her son, Richard, and presented to the enthusiastic crowd.  The passing of the crown was from last year's reigning Coming Home Queen, Yvonne Smith Vaughan.

"Stir the cat and put out the oatmeal" or vice-versa is well applied to Miss Carter's future homemakers. These girls are enthusiastic over their duties of sweeping and cooking. They are learning to be neat and trim also.
Quote taken from beside Home Economics Club description in '42 Burro.

Betty was one of the few blond girls seen in this picture. I believe she is the one located toward the center, kneeling behind the girl in the dark dress sitting sideways.

Betty is married to Jerry Vaughan and they have two sons, Jimmy and Richard. She has already made an amazing representative of our 50 Year Club and will continue to make  further contributions as our Queen! Please reach out and congratulate her.
